Therapeutic Murals

Transform your space.

Make a big impact.

What we view matters—especially during the most delicate yet impactful moments in life: those when you, your loved ones, your clients or patients need to find wellness.

What scene needs to be seen for those moments that need healing? Whatever it is, let’s make your vision for it happen.

Use environmental enhancing elements of demonstrated history.

For over 50 years we have known that simple access to a view of a tree out a window accelerates hospital patients’ healing time and discharge date by an entire day—thanks to the seminal research by Roger Ulrich in the 1980’s. Even 100 years before that, in the late 1800’s, Florence Nightingale followed her instinct to advocate for environmental design to be considered part of patients’ recovery processes—convincing hospital wards to integrate natural sunlight and common natural elements like flowers as enhancements to care.

In|vision has over 20 years of experience facilitating unique stages—from initial inception to final painting & installation—of more than 70 mural projects around the country…

within hospitals, healthcare, healing and service establishments. Share the natural impact, grace, and comfort of strategically designed images—hand-painted with care—for the healing journeys of those you care about most.

  • Reach out—and let’s start the conversation about your project! Share details of the type of organization, clients/community reached in the organization, and project goals.

  • In|vision will make a visit to your site to take measurements, photographs and ideas from the team and staff involved in the project—as well as meet with project constituents for input if an open forum brainstorming session is desired.

In|vision welcomes projects from across the country and is happy to travel for mural realization. If your site is outside of New York City/Long Island or Northern New Mexico, however, the site visit stage can be completed via virtual meetings and electronic transmission of mural location photographs and dimensions.

  • A proposal will be generated based on the information, with theme, color scheme, locations, and dimension(s) of murals outlined for confirmation. Cost will also be outlined, and changes to the plan or budget can be considered as needed.

  • A hand-painted or hand-drawn layout design will be created based on the theme, images and ideas discussed during the site visit. Design will be to scale of the mural(s) dimensions, and include environmental elements, such as hardware, electronic devices, mounted equipment etc, that are on mural walls—so that the final product can be fully envisioned.

Any changes desired in the mural can be discussed from this design plan, to ensure your final product achieves your goals.

    See below gallery for examples.

  • Painting schedule will be determined, alongside logistics regarding on-site painting or offsite mural painting on masonite panels which can be installed on the walls. Project timelines will vary based on size, style, and level of detail in the mural.

  • Costs will vary by location, level of detail, and physical complexity required for mural to be rendered. However, the below costs will provide a general overview of costs to expect.

$400 for generation of layout design

    $250 material fee per project

$65 per square foot of mural painting

Costs for travel outside of New York City, Long Island, and Northern New Mexico base location catchment areas will be included in project costs.

In|vision is happy to collaborate in fundraising and sponsorship recruitment for any project you can dream and envision.
